Hi there. I’m Brooke Hemphill, an experienced and passionate screenwriter and script editor.
The first-ever Australian writer to attend Meryl Streep-supported lab intensive, The Writers Lab, I have a post-grad in Screenwriting from the Australian Film TV and Radio School (AFTRS) and a Bachelor of Visual and Performing Arts from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA).
For the past decade, I have been writing and helping to develop film & TV projects.
A reader for The Writers Lab and a former reader for the Finish Line Screenwriting Competition, I have a deep knowledge of screenwriting structure, character, formatting and how to make a script jump off the page.

I have a Post Grad in Screenwriting from the Australian Film TV and Radio School (AFTRS) and have read hundreds of scripts as a reader for the Finish Line screenwriting competition and The Writers Lab. I’ve spent the last decade honing my writing and story skills and have several of my own projects in development.

Having been on the receiving end of some BRUTAL feedback, I know how important giving kind, constructive feedback is. It took blood, sweat and tears to get it to this point, and I fully respect that. That doesn’t mean I’m going to blow smoke up your bum hole. If your script needs work, I’m going to tell you. But I’m going to do it in a way that makes you excited to tackle the rewrite.
